Horizon Energy Services was recently contracted by Origin Energy to supply mechanical and operations personnel to assist in the construction and commissioning of Kupe, a major gas/LPG and condensate project in Taranaki, New Zealand.
The Kupe project includes the development of a gas and light oil/condensate field that lies in the offshore Taranaki basin, approximately 30km off the coast, in water to a depth of approx 35m. Pre-commissioning testing is currently underway, with commissioning to start in the next few months and permanent production expected by September 2009.
